Yeah, it’s been just about perfect. Been very lucky.

Time to slap ‘er together.

Tonight I gave it a Final wet/dry sand and buffed out to a luverly shine. I’m giving it a bit of a relic treatment insofar that I don’t hate myself when I put the first ding into it. So far I’ve put a bit o patina onto the hardware and tonight I gave the body a rattle with the car keys and dropped it into the chest freezer. After only about 45 mins I was getting some really pleasing checking into the clear coats. Should be awesome by morning.

I’ll let it sit for a few more days to let the clear harden up further and then it’s putting it together. Smile.

Yeah. Melbourne pickups vintage wind set. Alnico 2 in the neck and 5 for the bridge. Local fella, his pickups sound just as good as anything to my poor bettered ears.

All done - kind of difficult to take pics of nitro paint with an iPhone but here you go.

Different light makes the top change so much!
