Well said, sir! An often overlooked part of the bias network.
But so obvious. Once you swap transistors from a test circuit into a pedal or replace a pot and it biases and sounds totally different, it's undeniable.

This one was supposed to sound way different – warmer with better clean up. I liked the result, though. Cleanup is overrated.

Everything is transitional.
