He was kicking it with cancer wasn’t he? Damn.
Sad to see him go. Played a menacing tele.

He was diagnosed with pancreatic cancer 10 years ago and was given 10 Months to live, absolutely kicked the arse out of it. I remember at the time it was something like a doctor went to see him live while he was touring with Roger Daltry and saw the way he was moving and noticed something no one else had, told him to come in and see him and after a mammoth surgery pretty much cured him. Incredible story

The initial diagnosis was wrong I think and it was a less aggressive tumour than they originally thought. He still had half of his entrails removed though - tough lad!
