Nice message on the pedal by The Captain btw. I wonder if he was par-taking in a little Jim Beam on that one?

We is brothers - birthed alongside each other in that mysteriously murky magical amniotic fluid that is only found in David's Rotherham fuzzpod
BUT - you're a teensy bit older than me that makes a change around this place

Somebody record some clips already!! I'd like to hear one of these with the attack knob varied from full counterclockwise to full clockwise. I think the likelihood I'll ever own one is slim to none. I'm still kicking myself for taking my name off the original '65 list! Luckily I'm now on the list for one of the few remaining Music Ground Wooden MKIs. Hopefully the buyer of one of my kidneys doesn't back out!

Sickle and a MKI, scary stuff!
The great thing, or bad thing to some I guess, about a MKI to me is that it's so uncompromising as if it's saying ''Watcha expect!? I'm a MKI, fuck you!''.

I am so jealous right now.
I strongly suggest that you gift that 65 to me, before things start getting messy.

I'll let you know late next week, once my OC78 1965 arrives. Dear god this pumps me up.Sickle wrote:I would love to know what the later ones David made with the OC78 transistors sound like, as I suspect they're going to be very good indeed. Mine may be historically accurate, but I trust and value David Main's intuition on what will work best, and the guys that scored those may find themselves with a more diverse unit across its pot ranges and really benefit from the wisdom that David has acquired with this circuit.
I think you deserve it. Enjoy!Sickle wrote:I'm humbled by the good Captain's generosity in seeing one my way and find myself wondering of a sudden if I don't pull enough of the load around here to deserve it.
