Re: Interesting TGP Thread
I'm right there with ya on the Vox Tonebender thing Dave, I much prefer slamming an amp with one over the fuzzface (if I want fat and sloppy all I need do is look in the mirror!). The '66 was my first DAM pedal and I immediately bought an overpriced MKII OC81D special after receiving it! 280.00 USD! What a rip off! And to add insult to injury it took like TWO MONTHS to get! Two things I'm grateful for at this moment at least. 1. Growing up in the 70's when BF Fenders were really cheap, and 2. Stumbling upon DAM in early '05.

Negative comments like that are just a sign that you have reached the top. Peasants always throw crap on leaders. The better you are, the more crap. I still can't believe that they voted out Winston Churchill after he won the war...

Ah TGP. Every conversation over there quickly heads into Big Lebowski territory...I swear 90% of the guys on that board look to Walter Sobchak as a role model. Don't let it bug you too much...Poorbob wrote:What is wrong with those people? The guy who didn't like the red rooster is the worst imo. I mean how could it not "do it for you". I have sense those people don't know what they're talking about.
(they're assholes :-)
Dear Bongo, No.

No, these are excellent people to have around. These are the sorts of people you can buy a Red Rooster from for $120. They are just the types of sellers I like to meet :-)Poorbob wrote:What is wrong with those people? The guy who didn't like the red rooster is the worst imo. I mean how could it not "do it for you". Re: Interesting TGP Thread
I arrived at this one a little late but the reading made for some interesting fodder. I guess everyone is entitled to an opinion. What some people (morons) fail to recognize is the the price includes time, and experience.
I feel like I am preaching to the choir here but people don't realize is all this experience is worth something, that has value, as well as, the time put into this. If you add all that up, Dave's pedals are a tremendous value for what he charges. If this person can't hear the difference, then he should go on his way and save us the uninformed opinion.

Never argue with an idiot, they bring you down to their level and beat you with experience

Hahahaha... this is the message I've got when trying to look at the thread again:
No Thread specified. If you followed a valid link, please notify the administrator
I bet you the guy who slammed the 1966 finally played one and decided to delete the thread, so he could search for a 1966 for him.
Cheers,

when I first got my 1966, I thought it was broken. The more I played with it, the more I realized, I am broken, and that is why I love this pedal! :) its so musical. I am certain its the Led Zeppelin 1 fuzz, and I adore it with a telecaster!

The Gear Page is just pure comedy for me nowadays The 1966 is still my favourite pedal after 3 years or so of constant use. Anyone who can't make it sound musical should probably concentrate on playing rather than buying more pedals.
