Always a sign of a quality listing :rolleyes2:

...along with
"from the 60s" = late 70s if you're lucky but more likely 80s - 90s.
"...I believe..." = I have no idea what this means but I saw it in another listing and it seemed to bump the price. As I have no idea what this means the chances of my item having it are pretty close to nil.
"vintage" = oldish and a bit beat up
"as is" = broken
"has character" = fuck I dropped it and a bit broke off
"probably an easy fix" = fuck I dropped it in the bath and then ran over it with a truck. were those flames normal? The smoke smell will have cleared by the time I ship it anyway.
"in full functional condition" = FUBAR!
"comes with soft case" = I know i's not a case, it's a cheapie gigbag, but guitars with a case sell for more $$ so I'm spinning it. See, I'm phsychologising you -- now you think there's a case but I have plausible deniability.
"lower 48 only" = Rush Limbaugh told me foreigners are the devil and will subject me to public education and health care I can afford. Ah'm a loadin' up m' gun.
"I have no way of testing" = see "as is"

And why does every ebay listing for a Big Muff include "as played by Jimi Hendrix" despite his death before they were built? And when was the last time Carlos Santana used a Big Muff?

Like this one too -- did Hendrix ever use a Tone Bender?
And this is what mid-70s?
Dear Bongo, No.
Good deals with all these guys

this is why:
http://www.absoluteastronomy.com/topics/Big_Muff wrote:"Contrary to one common belief, the Big Muff was not used extensively by Jimi Hendrix and, in fact, production models were not available until 1971, a year after Hendrix's death in 1970. Big Muff creator Mike Matthews, however, has claimed that Hendrix used a Big Muff prototype in some sessions prior to his death and he was reportedly impressed enough to want to use it on his next album. Hendrix played an integral part in the making of the Big Muff, as Matthews has often stated that Hendrix's guitar sound was the inspiration for the creation of the Big Muff ."
Everything is transitional.
