I've tried again and again to come up with a good description for how this thing sounds. I've got at least a dozen fuzz boxes from the 60's and none of them sound this...refined and sophisticated. I don't think its possible to improve on the circuit. Its like royalty, but a real Majesty, not some diluted inbred mess.

Majestic.

Yeah, that's a good word to describe it.
She's a beaut.
refined, sophisticated & modern...
...It does boggle the mind that this circuit was made in like 1966.

Totally.

To my ears, the fuzz on this pedal is so rich and creamy, it kinda sounds like something the Big Muff circuit wanted to aspire to, but was never able to achieve, and that's saying a lot cause I'm a serious Big Muff fan.

Does that resonate with anyone else?
YES, very much so.
:badlove:
The thing about this pedal is that it is so many things at one time.
It's not dark, but it's not bright.
It's not too fat (like some Fuzz Faces), but it sure aint thin.
It's got some high gain, but it's not uncontrollable.
It can be smooth, but it's as far from timid as you can get.
It's not a jack-of-all-trades fuzz, but it's got some healthy variations/shades.
It's got a very distinctive sound.
It's got a ton of sustain.
It's got a ton of volume output.
It's a lot smaller looking than it seems to be on the web!

About the only possible (arguable or not) downside is that it doesn't have a lot of cleanup,
but it has a very interesting cleanup that actually makes some unusually cool sounds.

Like you said, it's one of the greatest fuzzes I've ever tried.

I'm gonna' post some clips when my camera gets back from the shop.
hopefully by the end of the week, early next week.

Forgot to add... that f-ing green color is GORGEOUS!
I'm really glad you scored that one.
I love the sparkle, 2nd batcher that I got,
but man, that is the one right there bro!

Is the Fuzzaround going to be part of the new lineup next year or was this a once in a lifetime deal?

C'est la vie... I will be working when the first one goes off, in a few more hours. Maybe somewhere down the road he will do one more run and we who missed out the first time can score...
