Post photos (taken by you)...

Post by markom89 »

I've been into the whole photography thing as of late (well, I always have, actually), so I thought I'd make a thread for fellow photographers (and/or people who just like taking pictures) where they can show some of their work. I'm getting a Nikon D90 for my birthday and REALLY want to save up for a nice old Hasselblad 500 c/m, but until then I'm using my Canon G9 (digital camera) and a Nikon F75 (film) w/ some sort of Sigma lense. I don't really do much processing to my pictures since I don't know how to use Photoshop (at all)- the only processing I've done was in a free online program called "picnick" (off flickr)...

Go ahead and post some of your photos. Can't wait to see them.

Here are some of mine- please let me know your thoughts.

Nice shots Markom! That geysir (?) photo caught my eye. Is that a huge hot bubble about to burst on the poor child?

Here's a shot I took last year in Svalbard. Unfortunately I haven't got myself a digital camera yet, so I don't have very many more pictures on the computer I think.

Cool shots Sickle. Is that a sharpened wooden stick and a beer can next to the grave?
One can only wonder what has happened there!

Excellent stuff man, I always liked cemetaries too. (don't know what THAT means)

Here's a couple I took after a storm here in Sunny Buffalo, NY. We had a freak snow storm hit on the friday the 13th in october a couple years back. Heavy wet snow and the trees still had their leaves. Knocked out power all over the city (for up to 10 days depending where you were) It was quite a mess....

I was an analog SLR guy for years. (I have yet to get a good DSLR). I use a regular digital happy snappy Kodak camera these days. Nothing fancy.
I push pixels in photoshop in magazine publishing for a living during the day. But this was my first attempt at the "Stitching" feature in the camera.

It's a 3 pic panarama shot, of a lake my 6 year old daughter has fondly named "Paradise Beach"
