Money Pit idea!

Post by edkoppel »

Is it possible, just in the money pit, to allow us to delete our own threads?
I feel like this would help clear out a lot of space and also help clear any confusion once something is sold and received by the buyer.

I personally delete all of the text from an original post once I sell something, but at that point there is a thread with seemingly random replies and no meaning.

just an idea,

if it's possible, that would be cool.

Oh, DB? That's just slang for Dandy Big muff collector.

it's a good idea, and ive thought about this many times. But i'm 50% undecided.
Infact, sometimes it's cool to see how much a pedal went for, to make up your mind about going rates.

Yeah, but most people put SOLD instead of the price...

Having the option to delete would be good methinks.

It's a good idea, but the software used on the board doesn't allow it (AFAIK):
This from the manual:

"Please note that normal users cannot delete a post once someone has replied."

So, if someone's already replied to it, then a mod has to delete it.

The Money Pit consists of 105 pages, most of them aren't really useful for anything, so it would be a good idea to clean them.

I was also thinking about "Halp! I can't find" thread. Is it really working? Maybe it's a good idea to delete some of the posts?

Also a good idea. I'm just doing the serverside admin stuff though. The Captain is the moderator...

I read old threads very often. Many of them were started by Donovan and now without his posts these threads are about nothing. I assume that they take huge space, so it would be clever to thin them a bit. Saved space could be well used by Conan :hihi:
