there seems to be a bit of interest in the other MK I pedal shootout...I don't know how long these links last but here's a sendspace link to the audio of that for anyone else who's interested...Dave, do you have a pic of the other MK I lineup with the loony? That may shed some light on the order of things for the audio...

Re: MKI shootout
i do not...i can't even remember what was in there --
I think it was my jerms (in the old Hurst enclosure), Another jerms (yours?)
All i remember is you guys said my jerms is superloud and the Loony has a helluva lotta ballz!
(or something like that)...It's darker than the jerms for sure, so that might help.
and i think jim was messing with the controls, turning down the attack a bit near the end there...

yup, the loony is easy to pick out cause it sounds darker and a bit smoother than the others. I know we had your Jerms Mk I in there as well and either my jerms MK I or even Jim's Jerms MK I (which was significantly louder than mine)...whatever they were its good eatings all around!

Re: MKI shootout
That's really the best way to do a shootout. Audio only. A blind shootout!
...say every :30 seconds it changes, and we mix 'em up, Jerms, Loony, 1965, Supa Mk1, Sola Sound etc...and then everybody tries to figure it out, or just decide which you like best purely by the sound...Then we could throw up the video and voila!...hah
btw, those all sounded really good. I think I could be happy with any one of the clones, but damn that old one is the king shit!

they all sounded great, but the original Sola really takes it.

Jerms, you should record a solo record with all your top-shelf fuzzes///
