Talking about MkIs and Zonks - are there any significant sonic differences between the two? Or is it more like different flavours of the same circuit, like each MkI is different from another MkI?

I'm interested in this as well...looks as though the zonk didn't use the texas instruments transistors but it's layout is also completely different from the original MK I (looks more like Stu's supa MK I or something). What are the tonal differences...significant or insignificant?

i don't know about exactly what Dave has done with the circuit here, but the Zonk circuit is very similar to the MK1.
it varies but in general the Zonk seems to have 1000pf input cap, 0.047uf output cap, less bass, more treble (and in my experience a bitch to get sounding ok :errr: ).

I can't stop thinking about this one, wish I had the dough that a purchase would require.
