The New Red Rooster: Sans LED & Chicken Head Knobs
I don't know if anyone else noticed but the new Red Roosters in the banner seem to omit the LED light.

many people complained about it popping, I assume that's the reason. personally having a midi switcher it's not a big problem, aside having every channel with a no-led pedal checked at startup.

I am actually in love with the NO LED/chicken head version. I'll probably pick one up!

I completely agree, If it doesn't have a 9v jack on it then put a battery on/off switch in. Having to unplug my fuzz type pedals is a real PITA on my board.Coolhand78 wrote:I had the captain install one of these on mine... it really should be on every fuzzmolokaio wrote:I have no clue... battery on/off?

....the Rooster as is was deigned to be used with a power supply, on a pedal board, so to totally eliminate the 'pop' use a DC supply. Bam! It's gone. Part of the pop is also due to the caps wired across the input but engaging and disengaging the switch a few time solves this.
I don't like LED's, never have, never will. I never use more than say 3 pedal at once besides a wah....that is kinda obvious to the point of the geetar being in the mix so wah's don't count in my book, so LED's are just silly shiny things that eat juice from my point of view...but yes, folk use pedal boards and such and do need a million pedals for things I can never imagine so I fit LED's to the pedals that I see fit. The Rooster was always on the line. The MKII and the Meat never had LED's and I always thought the Rooster should be part of that gang. Its old school...you really should know when its on otherwise you are using it wrong....so....
LED gone, Mullards added. Simple
