It does appear we've reached the proverbial bottom of the barrel with NOS transistors bearing classic part numbers.
I bought a load of Mullard OC81M on eBay recently that turned out to be fake. The sleeves looked perfect. Fucking annoying, man.

Yep. You could barely tell, but I had some confirmed real ones to do side-by-side. They also performed consistently like shit despite a wide range of specs--that's what got me investigating in the first place. The old Newmarket Transistors factory building was demolished in the last 2 years and had been empty for a while. So nobody’s going to be able to use the story that they visited the site and found a stash hidden away in some corner. There are no corners now!

I’m not looking for mullards 75 and shit just ones I can play around with for some builds I’m doing for myself. I wish not to use langex or whatever it’s called.
