Does it make a difference what trannies are in these? Pcb and trim pots isn’t it? It’s a genuine question as I don’t actually know but I’m guessing easier to tune than say the og’s

i never read about boss tb2w trannies, but i suppose they could be a mass production, could they be produced for the tb2w? maybe, but who knows
nor nos either rare or something else, and maybe they could produce 30k pieces or some more, but let's wait for other else limited edition in the future..who knows

They are 2N404As - never know what the suffix letters are, or who made them, but they are not new production.
Handmade, high-impact, great-looking radical queer germanium fuzz. A different approach to 1960s-inspired fuzz pedals, no clones, check them out at https://goodfuzzysounds.com or on YouTube https://tinyurl.com/GFS-YT

Amen brother!!!underorbit wrote: ↑Sun Apr 25, 2021 5:01 pmYou would think so, but don’t understand limited numbers and botched release. Seems like you could find some more transistors if you already “found” 9000.Mr. Min T. Fresh wrote: ↑Sun Apr 25, 2021 3:57 pm Not to sound stupid but wouldn’t you think Boss would make more? It’s a great pedal but they’re really into making money. One would think they’d make more to satisfy the market ( rare transistors and all. )
$400 x 3000 units = $1,200,000

I could have got one on pre order with Macari . I was on the webpage shop and they were there available. I didn’t .
I think it’s great they’re selling used for mega bucks . It makes me happy for Ant ..only strengthens the ToneBender name . As if it needed any more greatness attached to it ..... but Boss has ....

Just to let ‘em strenghten prices for other fuzzes too? So needed?
Think they’re quite overpriced yet, not so bad prices for 2/3 trannies, some caps and other parts
didn’t need some f*****ng marketing genius to understand this
do i remember wrong or the mkii and maybe diablo, goldie and others bricks bender was 50£ less some weeks ago? i remember quite clear 499, but maybe 449 was not so much time ago ...

Re: Boss / Sola ... really?
Missed the boat on the Boss TB-2W controversy until now but I have to say it's quite a smart business move by Boss. Who would have thought that putting a "boutique" tone bender circuit into of all things a Boss pedal enclosure and marketing it as limited edition would turn it into the new Klon of the fuzz market. Simply ingenious. Reminds me of the large beer companies taking over the micro breweries. What's next the Boss FF-2W Fuzz Face Limited Edition? The possibilities are endless. Just a matter of time before we start seeing Boss TB-2W clones going for $500. Welcome to the fuzz new world order.
